That new new.
Khai Restaurant – SoMa, High-End Vietnamese
Khai Duong is considered one of the world’s best Asian chefs, and after a 5 year stint in Vietnam, he has returned to SF and opened up an high-end Vietnamese restaurant in SoMa, offering a 10 course tasting menu for $95/person.
Renting out out SoMa’s Bonjour Patisserie space at night, this is quite the Cinderella story.
Mezcalito – Russian Hill
Mezcalito is one of my favorite new restaurants in San Francisco! It’s located right on Polk street in Russian Hill. It is a full restaurant/bar so you can come here to grab dinner at one of their comfy booths or snag a spot at the bar/communal tables for a more low key setting to enjoy a marg and some guac (the essentials).
Chambers Eat + Drink – Tenderloin
This spot is not a new addition to the SF food scene (they opened back in 2011), but they have debuted 2 new specials that are worth highlighting!
For those who aren’t familiar with Chambers – it is a swanky/trendy bar/restaurant located in the Tenderloin, even if you haven’t been here, there is a 99% chance that you have seen an instagram of their iconic “Be Amazing” lights (100% chance if you are a female in her 20s who loves yoga and goldendoodles).
First off, what an amazing trip #blessed. After receiving quite a few questions about where to stay, how to get around, what cities to visit, etc. I decided to turn my Type A extremely detailed itinerary into a more user friendly format so others can repeat what we did well ($6 massages, elephant sanctuary), and stay away from our mishaps…1 missed ferry, 1 missed flight, 1 motorcycle crash, and 2 double booked hotels…oops. Below is your guide to: Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phuket, and Koh Phi Phi.
I spent this past weekend in Napa/Sonoma with my family to celebrate my parents 25th anniversary! Had such a nice weekend, thought I would share my itinerary in case others are looking to make a day or weekend trip out there for wine tasting! Where to eat and drink (Bottega, Gabrielle, and Hall are my favorites!), as well as where to avoid. 🙂
THE DAY HAS COME. Birthday truffles are coming to the Los Angeles.
So those who are my friends (or just follow me on social media) know that every time I make it to New York (or D.C.) my one required stop is at the Momokuku Milk bar in Midtown to purchase an absurd amount of Birthday truffles. I usually finish my first pack of three truffles on the way home, feel sick for about 3 hours, and then open up the second pack. Yes, they are that good.
New Food Delivery
First off, who doesn’t like food delivery? SF has become the mecca for all these really cool services that satisfy my inner laziness – food delivery and gas on demand are my personal favorites (check out the app booster for gas…it’s amazing). Don’t get me wrong I love cooking, but there is something so satisfying about delicious food coming directly to your door – no dish washing required.
A skimmed list of special occasion restaurants for everryyyyy type of occasion, because a half birthday warrants a 5 course meal over looking the ocean, right?
I LOVE pizza. Nothing beats that first bite into a freshly baked slice, with just the right amount of Parmesan on top, but not every pizza is created equal. So here is a guide to the best pizza for every occasion. Enjoy 🙂
